Western Sergals
Western sergals(西方サーガル) were a subspecies of the Northern sergals, and a de facto extinct race on canon story and history. They had settled close to the Native Nevreans that inhabit the northwest area of planet Tal, kept quietly to themselves in a small area of land.
They were almost destroyed due to the genocide in western lands by Shigu, approx the year 28 in Rain-Calendar. Many historical details about them were lost.

Appearance
Intermediate colors based on cold color pallet such as blue-green, purple, and pale gray are common fur colors.
At first there was no apparent height differences between Northern and Western Sergals, given that they were the closest set of subspecies living separate from each other (North - NorthWest). That means they only differed in fur coloration, location, and cultural traditions, sharing common traits in everything else.
However, after the Western extinction and the inevitable mixing between Northern and Eastern lands during the war (brought on via occupation of Reono as well as after, during the reconstruction period), Northern height ratios went up on average, the vigour trait having been spread out to more groups.
Behavior
They inhabited small villages along the forests and wetlands, and exchanged culture with the nevreans of Nevrea land nearby. Their sharde the nevreans cultural appreciation for beauty and art, including poetry, song, music and dance. Therefore there were many poets, and they shared the culture that protects the "beautiful things" (e.g. male nevreans).
They were attacked and nearly wiped out by General Rain. Her lust for beautiful things (beautiful and cute boys) led her to wish to take them for her own. The Western sergals resisted her, but most died in the attempt, and the few that survived took refuge in the southern lands, mainly Gold Ring.
The Western sergals lucky enough to make their way to Gold Ring found themselves in awe at the welcoming mix of cultures and given their artistic disposition as well as lack of concern for their own pedigree, they integrated easily into Gold Ring's society. Thusly, there are no longer any Western Sergals, the subspecies is now considered extinct and absorbed into the other subspecies.
