Mick's new set of stories feature similar characters, but they are not identical to the ones in the "Old Age" stories. This is a more advanced, vaguely steampunk setting with early 1900's level technology. The Old and New Age settings take place in parallel universes. "Vilous" is the name for the fixed star, and the name of the main planet where races live is "Planet Tal".

The original stories and setting were made by Mick39 from 2004-2008. Mick has since abandoned this set of canon, entrusting it to Kiki-UMA and her fans. The fan works are classified under "Sidestories" to distinguish fan-made material from Mick's original work, but they are still based in the same setting. This is a fantasy-medieval setting taking place on an alien world quite unlike our own, with some science-fiction elements in the form of ancient ruins left behind by a very advanced civilization.

It is important to note that the Old Age canon represents the newest available information on the old stories, so many of the concepts and characters that were in the first edition of the stories (like the Werefenle) are not considered part of the Old Age canon anymore. Some things also appeared in alternate forms, such as the Nevreans being called "Neurians." In this wiki, we strive to use the most updated versions of this information, so here Nevreans are called Nevreans in every instance, even though the original stories used the name Neurians.

There are four major classifications for canon when it comes to Vilous and its related species and characters.

All articles classified under Fan-Canon (includes Sidestories) or Non-Canon will moved to the Vilous Fandom Wiki by new rule: "All articles classified under Fan-Canon or Non-Canon should move to Vilous Fandom Wiki from Vilous Official Wiki." This rule was established by the Vilous team. If Mick39 and Kiki-UMA want to "canonize" certain characters from works classified under Fan-Canon or Non-Canon later, that will return them back to this Official Wiki.

New Age

Mick's new set of stories feature similar characters, but they are not identical to the ones in the "Old Age" stories. This is a more advanced, vaguely steampunk setting with early 1900's level technology. The Old and New Age settings take place in parallel universes. "Vilous" is the name for the fixed star, and the name of the main planet where races live is "Planet Tal".

Articles with information classified under the "New Age" canon are labeled with this box:

Races in New Age

 • Sergal - Though similar in general build, they have regional racial variations in appearance and behavior. Subspecies include Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western.
 • Nevrean - A feathered dinosaur-like race that feature different looks between genders. Females are tough and rugged, while males are delicate and beautiful.
 • Agudner - Human-like and even-toed, a mammal-looking race, their features (appearance, behavior, personality, and gender differences) are the most similar (of the Eltus races) to humans of Earth.
 • Talyxian - The species group of creatures native to Tal. They consist of plural classifications, most of them having the appearances of mixed organic creatures with mineral components. They have mechanical-looking appearances, though they are absolutely not machines, cyborgs, or robots.
 • Enoca - An alien race having an amorphous appearance, such as a Talyxian form. Some may have the appearance of a jellyfish.

Judda and Zess are not "Races" in New Age. They are featured as general ideas or a trait of the body appearance.

Old Age

The original stories and setting were made by Mick39 from 2004-2008. Mick has since abandoned this set of canon, entrusting it to Kiki-UMA and her fans. The fan works are classified under "Sidestories" to distinguish fan-made material from Mick's original work, but they are still based in the same setting. This is a fantasy-medieval setting taking place on an alien world quite unlike our own, with some science-fiction elements in the form of ancient ruins left behind by a very advanced civilization.

Articles with information classified under the "Old Age" canon are labeled with this box:

Vilouslogo.jpg This article contains information classified under the Old Age canon.

Races in Old Age

 • Sergal - A race that has rapidly expanded in recent years, the northern subspecies from Tatola has formed into an empire that seemingly is trying to conquer everything they can while the southerns live in the Sailzane desert growing many water-retaining vegetables.
 • Nevrean - A bird-like people with teeth, they are shown frequently with farther advanced technology than other races.
 • Agudner - A brown and tan furred race with 1-6 horns and hooved feet. They used to have a very advanced civilization, but nearly died out 300 years ago.
 • Talyxian - A group of races with vaguely feline features, most of them live as monks in the mountains.
 • Zess - Undead Creatures created from willing and resourceful members of the other races.
 • Judda - A race of smooth-skinned humanoids with pointy ears.
 • Enoca - An aquatic race with many renowned traders and merchants.
 • Rowna - A race of plant people that seem to rarely move. They speak with telepathic powers, but only a few can hear them.

Sidestories

Sidestories are fan works meant to take place within the "Old Age" setting. In this collection, only works that strictly adhere to the "Old Age" canon and are of a certain level of quality are admitted. Everything in the "Old Age" canon is also canon in the "Sidestories" canon. The founders of this site have the final say on what is and is not in the "Sidestories" canon.

' _

All articles classified under Fan-Canon (includes Sidestories) or Non-Canon will moved to the Vilous Fandom Wiki by new rule: "All articles classified under Fan-Canon or Non-Canon should move to Vilous Fandom Wiki from Vilous Official Wiki." This rule was established by the Vilous team. If Mick39 and Kiki-UMA want to "canonize" certain characters from works classified under Fan-Canon or Non-Canon later, that will return them back to this Official Wiki.'

Non-Canon

If a fan work is silly, nonsensical, or does not follow any of the canons listed above, it is considered non-canon. There is nothing particularly wrong with a work that is not canon. It simply means that the work in question does not have any effect on the storylines, setting or worlds of "Old Age," "New Age," or "Sidestories" canon.
