Ekay once again protests against his father’s desires to travel from village to village. He explains that he fully understands what his father wants to accomplish. However, thinking back to memories of his mother, Ekay is concerned about the risk of losing more of his family. He reasons that living in one village permanently would be much safer than constantly having to travel through the dangerous Talyxian biomes.
